Jason Armit, a native of New Orleans, has choreographed, performed, and instructed Stage Combat throughout the Southeast including his home base; Atlanta, Georgia. Southeastern credits include the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Theatrical Outfit, Raleigh Ensemble Players, Theatre in the Square, Actor's Express, Dad's Garage Theatre Company and True Colors Theatre Company. Jason is also the resident fight choreographer at the Alliance Theatre Company where he worked on the World Premiere of The Color Purple: A New Musical. He has served as Stage Combat Instructor for the University of South Carolina’s MFA Program as well the Alabama Shakespeare Festival's MFA/PAT program through the University of Alabama. Jason is the current Director of the Atlanta Stage Combat Studio and holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
