Jill Matarelli Carlson is an Assistant Professor at East Carolina University.  She teaches Movement, Stage Combat, Acting, and Theatre History.  She has worked as an Entertainment Cast Member for Walt Disney World and co-founded The Odyssey Express Touring Theatre Company, whose goal was to bring quality theatre experiences to children in the Chicago-land area.  She has worked professionally all over the United States as both an actor and fight choreographer. Jill received an MFA in Acting with a Movement Concentration from Western Illinois University.  Favorite roles include: Mama Morton in Chicago; Antigone in Antigone; Mrs. Walker in Tommy; Amy in Company; Tigerlily in Peter Pan; The Herald in Marat/Sade; Jill in A Tribute to Shel; Cinderella in Cindy’s Fella; Jan in The Jackie Sexknife Show; and Katya in Wenceslas Square.  Jill lives in Greenville, NC with her husband, John.
