Mike's stage combat training began at Western Illinois University in Macomb under D.C. Wright. After graduation with his MFA and AC status, he has hopped all over the country as an actor, stage manager, and fight choreographer. He has trained with Don Preston at [they fight] in Minneapolis, as well as the staff of the Virginia Beach BASH, Winter Wonderland, and Dueling Arts' Winter Workshop. He returned to Vegas this summer as a student at the IACW, and is currently training with Harris Smith in Lincoln, NE. In addition to serving on the SAFD's Mentoring Committee, Speck is currently Company Manager and Marketing Director at Maples Repertory Theatre in Macon, MO, and choreographs regularly for Janesville, WI's Armory Dinner Theatre.
