Paul has taught at Webster University, the North Carolina School of the Arts, Kent State University, served as the head of the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and has assisted at the National Stage Combat Workshops.

Paul has taught, directed, performed, and choreographed fight sequences internationally and at various regional theaters. Paul spent the last two years in Los Angeles, performing in The Last Session, and directed a production of Greg. He appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia, and on episodes of The Practice, Party of Five, Charmed, Ally McBeal, and Family Law.

Recent fight direction credits include: Scaramouche, Les Liason Dangerouses, and an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. Other Midwest acting credits include Measure for Measure, Frankenstein - The Modern Prometheus, The Fever, Six by Baitz, and Scapino!
