How do I renew my Certified Teacher and/or Fight Director membership?

Certified Teachers and Fight Directors can renew their SAFD membership by completing the following steps:

  1. You must first be logged in to the web site under your site account.
  2. Navigate over to the Certified Teacher/Fight Director online renewal application
  3. Complete all required fields and submit your application for review by the Governing Body representatives.
  4. During the application process, you will be asked to select your method of payment for fees and/or dues.
    • If you choose to pay using our secured online payment processor, you will be redirected to the correct screen to complete that process.
    • If you choose to pay by mailing a check or certified money order, you will be presented with instructions on how to accomplish that. Please note, however, that your membership renewal will not be complete until the check is received by the SAFD business office.
  5. If you have submitted your renewal application, but were unable to complete the online payment process, don't panic. You can still pay your dues and fees by logging into the web site and returning to one of the following links:

With few exceptions (such being a past president of the SAFD, Emeritus, etc) the following are the current fee and dues structure:

Certified Teachers Only pay a $100.00 fee, plus $135.00, for three (3) years of membership for total payment of $235.00.

Fight Directors or Fight Directors AND Certified Teachers pay a $200.00 fee, plus $135.00 for three (3) years of membership for a total payment of $335.00.

Important note: Your application to renew your Certified Teacher or Fight Director membership will not be approved until you have paid your membership fee and dues and your application for renewal has been approved.

I am a Certified Teacher and/or Fight Director who is exempt from paying dues. How do I pay my certification fees?

You can pay your certifications fees at: https://www.safd.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=11

If you have questions about paying your dues, or the requirements for maintaining these designations, please contact the SAFD Vice President for assistance.
