Friend Chris Cardoni (cjfights.com) and partner Melissa Sine recently performed a pirate swordfight outdoors in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA: Pirate Fight. Chris is directing and fight directing the Vokes Players (Wayland, MA) production of A Streetcar Named Desire, which runs from May 3 through May 19: Vokes Players. Chris continues to coordinate Fight Club at Bay State Fencers Stage Combat Studio: Bay State Fencers.
Friend Anne Foldeak had a recent production named Brynne Elizabeth Foldeak, born January 19. She is now in rehearsals for The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree which opens in North Haverhill, NH on May 3.
A/C Meron Langsner recently presented a paper on the Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company at the National ACA/PCA Popular Culture Conference in Boston. His new full-length play, Burning Up The Dictionary will receive a staged reading from Vagabond Theatre in Boston in May and his opera libretto based on the Marquis De Sade's Justine was given a reading this past Valentine's Day with Fort Point Theatre Channel and recently acquired a composer. Meron is currently collaborating on a new piece about American Veterans of recent conflicts with Evet Arts. He has also recently composed violence for several area schools. A/C Matthew Martino was recently fight choreographer for the Falmouth Academy's production of Treasure Island where he was happy to lend his expertise in pirate sword fighting and mass battles for a cast of over 30. He is currently set to direct his second feature film Chainsaw Maidens from Hell later this year.
Regional Representative / CT Robert Najarian acted in and fight directed Deported: A Dream Play with Boston Playwrights’ Theatre in March. The show played to sold out houses and its playwright, Joyce Van Dyke, received a citation from the State of Massachusetts in recognition of her work in fostering awareness of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 through the arts. In late March, Boston hosted FM Ian Rose for the annual Boston area SPT at the American Repertory Theatre. It was a successful test with many students from both Harvard and Boston University passing with recommendations! This summer, Robert will be the fight coordinator for the film Super to be shot in Boston in early June. He will also head to Cape Cod to perform in References To Salvador Dali Make Me Hot with Wellfleet Harbor Actor’s Theatre.
