Welcome Bret Yount,  the new International Regional Rep!

FM Richard Ryan has stepped down from the Int’l Regional Rep post, and  many, many thanks to him for his wonderful service! The torch has been generously taken up by SAFD CT and BASSC Master Teacher Bret Yount.

Bret trained as actor at the University of Arkansas and at the Guildford School of Acting (UK) where he won the Principal’s Prize.  Bret is a Certified teacher with the SAFD and a Master Teacher with the British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat.  Bret is also a committee member of Equity’s Fight Director’s Register.  Bret has taught at workshops in the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK and is the resident Unarmed Combat Master at RADA. Bret’s Fight Direction has been seen all over the world and recent credits include: Loyal Women (Royal Court Theatre, London), Judah Ben Hur (UCC, Singapore), Double Top (Hull Truck), Neville’s Island (Theatre Royal, York) and The White Devil (Mercury Theatre, Colchester).  Bret also recently returned from working as Assistant Swordmaster on the Warner’s Bros epic, TROY.
