Barbara Charlene Seifert is freelance actor, fight director, advanced actor-combatant and stuntwoman who has worked in New York City, DC, Singapore and Italy. Her BA in Theatre is from Virginia Tech and she is currently at Western Illinois University pursuing an MFA in Acting. She is a graduate of Antonio Fava’s International School of Comic Acting (2005) and David Boushey’s International Stunt School (2007). She is recognized as a Recommended Advanced Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has taught at New York University, Shenandoah University, Fairfax County Public Schools, and currently at Western Illinois University as a grad assistant. Theatrical credits include Tartuffe, Cabaret, Hamlet, Riddley Walker, Far Away, The Dentist and Schadenfreude! The Asshole Differential Explained. Film credits include Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and The Taking of Pelham 123. Fight Direction credits include Breath, Boom (upcoming), Smell of the Kill, Trojan Women, The Accidental Patriot (for which she was nominated for a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Best Movement/Choreography), Spring Awakening (with J. David Brimmer), and Crimes of the Heart, directed by Kathleen Turner at the Roundabout Theatre, as well as tons of high school productions. She is a proud member of SAG.
