Heidi began her stage combat training at Richard Lane’s Academy of the Sword in northern CA. After moving to Seattle, WA, she resumed her training at Freehold Studio in 2000. She served as an intern at the 2004 NSCW West and the 2007 NSCW East, coordinated three regional stage combat workshops in Seattle, and became the SAFD Northwest regional rep in 2007. She is a founding member of Comrades At Arms, producing stage combat classes and workshops in Seattle since 2006.

Heidi is a Certified Teacher with the SAFD, and has her WA State practitioner and teacher certification in Usui Reiki. She continues to train in stage combat, dance, Suzuki, Viewpoints, and Yang style Tai Chi. She has taught stage combat and movement at Cornish College of the Arts, Ear to the Ground Theatre, Freehold Studio, St. Lawrence University, University of Idaho, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Puget Sound, and the University of Washington’s Professional Actor Training Program.
