Rob Ek has worked as an Actor, Fight Director, or Director at many theatres across the United States, including The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, and The Goodman and Steppenwolf Theatres in Chicago. As a Fight Director, he has choreographed everything from historically accurate mass battle scenes for outdoor drama to slapstick comedy within intimate theatre settings. As a performance trainer, Rob has worked at Florida State University; Berea College, KY; North Carolina School of the Arts; University of Alabama; University of Wisconsin System; University of Illinois and The Society of American Fight Directors-National Stage Combat Workshop. Rob received an MFA in Directing from the University of Alabama, and a BFA in Acting from the University of Illinois.
